On 4th June 1945 No. 311 Squadon finished operational duty and sionce end of July 1945 served with unarmed Liberators as transport unit which ensured the ferry between Great Britain and Czechoslovakia until end of 1945. During these months No. 311 Squadron operated from bases Manston, Pershore and last base was Blackbushe.
